2 I/C Squadron

My name is Scott Roulston and I joined the ATC in March 2003 as a Civilian Instructor with the Squadron. I later went on to become an Adult Sergeant in 2004.

I was educated at Portora Royal School in Enniskillen and from there went on to do a BTec National Diploma in Engineering at Omagh College. I specialised in Electronics during my second year and developed an interest for this and subsequently went on to do a Dip HE in electronics and software systems at the University of Ulster. I graduated with Honours.

Within the Squadron I hope to encourage the Cadets to learn skills which will be useful to them later in life

Civilian Instructor D Irwin

Hello

I am Dessie Irwin and I joined the ATC in March 2004 as a Civilian Instructor.

I was educated at Omagh Academy and then went on to complete a course at Omagh Training Centre. I worked with M.H.M. as a fitter and welder and later became a frok lift demonstrator with the same Company. I later joined Menley Fork Lifts in Dublin for three years. On returning home I was the Depot Manager with National Tyres in Omagh.

My next move was to Belfast and worked for the Datsun Motors distributor for two years. From there I went on to Templepatrick as a service engineer repairing fork lifts and Bob Cats. After 11 years I returned home to Omagh and set up my own business repairing machinery. I now also run a large poultry breeding farm.

I joined the ATC in order to contribute to an organisation which has helped my own two children so much and I hope to pass on some of the knowledge and experience I have gained over the years.
